Ken and Linda at Denali National Park, Alaska - 9/14/2017. Please note that the dates on these pictures are not typos. We were there last year on a land/sea package with Princess Cruises, however, Alaska is just tooooo big and beautiful to only go once. So this year we went back and rented a car.

Linda, Ken, Otto Kilcher, and Sunrise Kilcher at the Kilcher Homestead, Homer, Alaska - 9/17/2017. We spent 4.5 hours at the Homestead and enjoyed every minute of it. Sunrise (Otto's sister) did a fantastic job of explaining the Homestead and the Kilcher Family history. Sunrise, thank you for your hospitality and time. You were great! Everyone has asked us if Otto is as friendly as he seems to be on the show, and the answer is a great big "YES"!! He came walking up to us during Sunrise's talk, let us take all the pictures we wanted, even suggested some poses with us, and stayed around for probably 15 minutes. Thanks, Otto!!

Ken and Linda at Mt. St. Helens, Washington - 9/11/2017

Linda starting down the infamous "Switchback Road" as seen on the TV show "Alaska: The Last Frontier" -- and yes, it's extremely steep! Sunrise Kilcher told us it was a mile to the beach and two miles back. But I do have to say it seemed like 5 miles back! We were pooped when we got back to the car. Can you imagine being the Kilcher's and seeing this view every day?
